I have always loved reading and taking my time to fully immerse myself into the world within the pages to enjoy and savour each precious moment spent in the story.
Ever since I was in high school, I have kept track of the books I read. It was one of those things I enjoyed doing (over 20 years ago! I still have the notebook and pages I used to write in).

It wasn’t until GoodReads was created that I officially transferred over to their website and began using it regularly. It has, and still is, one of the main tools I use to update my reading progress. I track my reading goals and search for new and exciting adventures recommended by other readers like myself.
Aside from reading, I enjoy writing and telling stories. I am a mother of four children, and reading to them and instilling a love for books has been important. It helps them foster a love for knowledge. But it also helps them become imaginative and appreciate ideas.
When not reading, I like to knit and crochet, with the occasional cross-stitching in the mix. And video games (yes, I am a gamer mom!).

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, and while the skill has been useful in some aspects, drawing and creating art for fun and doing things for myself and my family has been more fulfilling.
Why did it take me so long to start this blog?
It never crossed my mind. Busy with life, raising children, and working with my husband was my priority. I wanted to do something that could utilize all the skills I have acquired over the years.
Hence, the beginning of The Steeped Page.
And as the name suggests, it will be steeped with information!
I may write the occasional writing posts, as another one of my dreams is to publish a story of my own. Especially one geared towards children.
You can never be too old to create anything!
