NetGalley has awarded me with 4 books to read and review. 4! I’m excited about it, but also feeling a little overwhelmed.

The best way I can break it down, is to read through them according to publication date so I can get a review out before then.

The first book on the list is:

The Sun and the Starmaker by Rachel Griffin
Publication date: February 17, 2026

There once was a village so far north that most considered it the top of the world… and in that village, the Sun fell in love with her Starmaker.

I’m about 50% through, and loving it. Formal review to come once I have completed it!

I’ll read the next in the following order:

Black as Diamond by U.M. Agoawike
Publication date: March 3, 2026

From Nigerian Canadian author U. M. Agoawike, Black as Diamond is a fresh, dark, and thrilling debut that untangles questions of queer identity, history, and power, illuminating a society crushed by the lingering actions of a few.

Fishbone Cinderella by Elizabeth Lim
Publication date: July 23, 2026

A mother and daughter must break their family’s curse through trials of war and immigration, love, loss, and redemption in this riveting multi-generational saga with a shimmer of magic, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Forgery of Fate.

Strange Lights by Mira Gonzalez
Publication date: September 8, 2026

Parenting is never easy, but it’s a hell of a lot harder when your toddler is a chupacabra.

Are you looking forward to any of these upcoming releases for 2026?
