2025 was an amazing year for reading.

I challenge myself to read at least 1 book a month – for a total of 12 books a year. The impossibility of reading 5 times my goal was an unexpected surprise. I’m happy to announce that I read 60 books!

I asked my kids to pick a number of books I should read for 2026. Which may have been a bad idea, because they selected…

67 Books

Am I surprised? No. I should have expected it.

Anyways…

There are plenty of books in waiting on my bookshelf. Going into the 2026 new year, my goal is to read through as much of them as possible. I am also on the Fairyloot YA Goodies subscription list (YAY!), so I’ll also be reading everything coming in from there. Not to mention my College coursework I should be focusing on (this is my number one priority before any leisure reading takes place).

Another goal I’ve set for 2026 is to read more children’s novels. If I want to work on my series for kids, I will have to consume more fiction from the age group I intend to write for.

Finally, I would like to take this year as a chance to be more involved in the book community, write more blog posts, provide insights and reviews, and regularly post on TikTok and Instagram.

I will continue to pray that 2026 is a productive year, both in fulfilling personal goals as well as spiritual goals.

Without further ado, here is my Goodreads Year in Books 2025!
