Sad Nuggie may be stressed or depressed (or both), but he doesn’t let life get him down!
Why is he sad? Because life is tough, especially as a small chicken nugget. Moving to a new city, starting therapy, eating healthy: Sad Nuggie tackles adulting with his signature melancholy and charm.

Have you met Sad Nuggie?
A Canadian-owned business based in Ontario, Sad Nuggie is a relatable, sad little chicken nugget plushie that has been gaining popularity. This little crying creature can be dressed up in a variety of different outfits, from a cat and a frog, to a businessman and even a shark.

The Sad Nuggie store offers a variety of items with their branding, including stickers, keychains and even hoodies.

What is most exciting about all this is the book Sad Nuggie is releasing.
Meet Sad Nuggie: Life is Sweet and Sour. Special thanks to Netgalley for providing the eARC.
A story about a small, sad chicken nugget moving to a new city (Toronto!).
Following everyday life with nuggie, it delves into the concept of adulting in the real world, and how anxiety and depression can be overcome. Slowly but surely.
I enjoyed reading through this simple but effective graphic novel. The artwork is adorable, with the crying little nugget. And there are many relatable moments which, as an adult, resonate with our daily lives.

I don’t think I can classify this as something for children, because it does touch on topics of anxiety as an adult, eating healthy, working, and dating. But for many older crowds from young adults and up, this is perfect.
You really can’t go wrong with this as a gift, in combination with a plushie of course!
